Artist Elizabeth Wold

About Elizabeth

Elizabeth Wold creates abstract objects inspired by rust, decay, graffiti, and abandoned things. Exploring the potential of processes and mediums, the paintings are grown from accretion, time, and experiences. Creating chaos, and slowly bringing it back to find a balance between chaos, serendipity, and serenity. She works with non-representational abstraction, though the work still references distressed and decayed elements of the outside world.

Elizabeth lives in the upper midwest of the United States. Her work is in public and private collections. She earned an MFA from the University of North Dakota in 2021. Her bachelor’s degree is in photography.
